When Alex and Phil were approached to do an eco run they, naturally, said yes. They’ve done a few eco-runs before and felt it was time to do another one. However – this one had a bit of a twist: It was near as damnit 850miles. Yeah, they had to drive from Marlow to Mayrhofen in deepest Austria. Oh, they had to do it on one tank of diesel too. This week it was revealed that a plot to oust Tony Blair and Gordon Brown from numbers 10 and 11 respectively had been dubbed ‘Project Volvo’. Two things stood out about this – 1) It shows that politicians sometimes DO know what the public wants and 2) Westminster does have a sense of humour. Hello. We have a new format now, we’re doing news Podisodes at the end of a month and drives around halfway through (depending on what/when we drive). There is a reason for this – we’re all super mega hyper busy. We didn’t want to ditch the Podisode, but it wasn’t sustainable at the rate it was going. Please understand that we didn’t tak the decision to do this lightly, either. It was a bugger to make and a horrible thing to admit to, but we’re human and simply couldn’t be in more than eight places at once (as one of us had to be at one point – messy). We’ve been humbled by the requests for more content and for more Podisodes and hopefully we’ll be back up to snuff at some point soon. Watch this space, as it were. Read more
