We discussed the fact that the Jaguar C-X75 is actually going to be made, Jon revealed an actual Podisode exclusive (listen in for it), Lamborghini’s Sesto Elemento (and some horrid energy drink), yet another Porsche appears, as does another VW Golf GTI... We also natter about the McLaren F1’s true successor (which will apparently only cost £250-£300k), the downfall of Saab, how to poorly disguise a Mercedes SLS, we argue (again) about Harley Davidsons, there’s mention of some kind of list (BOW DOWN TO IT) and apparently Jon went on some road trip in Italy.... beats us... Last week, the annual SMMT day took place at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford (also known as Top Gear’s secret testing facility). It’s essentially speed dating with cars. Plenty of manufacturers are there with their latest hardware, and you simply walk up, ask if a car is free to play in and go. Read more
